Club Update

The Club is proud to announce that already this summer it had grown considerably as a number of new teams have been established.

Mr Richard Holdsworth has joined the club as manager for the U11's  "B" side for next seasons Tyro league. "B" only relates to the league naming and certainly not the standard of his youngsters. Richard a local from the Waterside area has already established a full squad of players. Some previously with him in the Eastleigh and District Mini Soccer League, some from HDYFC and a few new players who have recently joined the club.

In the U8's the Club is hopeful to have 3 teams entered in the EDMSL.

Two new teams in the forthcoming U10's have joined to play as HDYFC. Managed by Mr Chris Copley and Mr Stewart Ferrier respectively, they bring to the club full teams.

Mr Jon Farnsworth has joined the Club bringing a full U16 side with him. This team will be using Jones Lane as its Home pitch.

Lastly Mr Wayne Fisk joins as manager of the U18's. Again he has a full squad with him and will be playing Home matches at Jones Lane.

The addition of the U16's and U18's now means the club has competitive teams in every age from U8 to U18 and provides a natural pool of talent to support the adult club.

The club now has over 200 players registered in competitive leagues.

Club Fees for the 2007/8 Season.
The Club policy is to provide affordable youth football to all. Prices have been raised marinally this year to cater for additional facilities. To our knowledge however we still retain a signing on fee which is far below most other Clubs, certainly locally.

Academy fees remain unchanged. For children in teams the Club fee is £50 for the year due by the beginning of September 2007. Managers will be responsible for collecting the money from parents and team members and submitting it to the club before the commencement of leagues. This early notification will hopefully allow parents sufficient time to pay and managers have been given discretion to make certain arrangements for payment where necessary.

Training at Shore Road - Message from the Secretay.
The Shore Road pitches are being reseeded and treated and cannot be used through the summer. There has been some doubt as to what is allowed. Just to clarify the situation regards training at Shore Road. Academy will be held at Applemore College as notified - but if you still want to continue your team training at Shore Road that is fine as long as you KEEP OFF THE PITCHES. I am reliably informed that there is enough space either behind the junior pitch or between the pitches if you are careful. Notice will be given when full use can be resumed.

Presentation Night

Held on the 27th April. 450 trophies handed out. Next year will be a change of venue more suited to the size of the club and audience. The Committee has started to make arrangements for next year which will make the evening more dymamic and allow for general socialising and entertainment after the awards to take place. The draw for the raffle prizes will take place at the Academy evening, Friday the 11th May 2007.

Academy Night

Due to extensive renovation work to both the adult and junior pitches at the Navy Field we have had to relocate our Friday night academy.

As of Friday the 18th of May and until further notice the academy will be moving to Applemore College who have very kindly allowed us to use an area within the college grounds. There is adequate parking for the usual drop off and picking up of the children situated to the rear of Applemore recreation center. From Dibden Tesco’s the college is well sign posted and once you have turned right into the main gate continue round to the left up the drive passing the main reception on the left, heading towards the exit you will see a fenced off area at the top left which is used for parking.

Applemore College have been very generous in offering us these facilities at short notice so it goes without saying it is most important that we respect them along with the buildings that surround the area they have allocated to us.

Cost for the academy remains at £3.
