Hythe & Dibden Youth Football Club's policy is to start the children young, and with this in mind we encourage children from the age of 5 to participate in weekly Friday academy nights.

We have some very dedicated trainers ( Often fathers of children who gain Coaching skills and qualifications through the club) who like to concentrate on developing the younger kids with a view to preparing them for the start of competitive football.

League entries start at Under 8's in the Eastleigh and District Mini soccer league and then progressing onto the Tyro League at a later age.

At the academy the emphasis is upon fun first with a gentle training programme to generate interest and enthusiasm.

As part of the football academy the children will be able to attend social events, take part in friendly games and learn the basic rules and attributes of football. The football club has a robust behaviour policy designed to encourage good citizenship, sportsmanship, but yet with a competitive edge.

In the winter months the academy stops due to lighting and weather conditions but does restart again in spring.
